Summary of the November 2012 Visa Bulletin – Family-Based (F)

Below is a summary of the November 2012 Visa Bulletin with respect to family-based petitions:

•    Forward movement for all chargeability areas of F1. F1 China and India all move forward from October 8, 2005 to November 1, 2005.   F1 Mexico moves forward to June 22, 1993. Great progress for F1 Philippines as it moves forward from April 1, 1996 to July 1, 1997. All other areas of chargeability moved forward from October 8, 2005 to November 1, 2005.

•    F2A moves forward from June 1, 2010 to July 15, 2010 for China, India, Philippines and all areas of chargeability except for Mexico that moved from May 15, 2010 to June 22, 2010.

•    F2B for all areas of chargeability except Mexico, a forward movement from September 15, 2004 to October 08, 2004. For Mexico, a forward movement of barely 15 days from October 1, 1992 to October 15, 1992 will take place.

•    A movement for F3 for all areas of chargeability including China and India from May 22, 2002 to June 1, 2002. A seven (7) day jump to February 15, 1993 for Mexico while Philippines remains to have no movement at all.

•    A slight forward movement for F4 applicants in chargeability areas of China (February 15, 2001 to March 22, 2001), India (March 15, 2001 to March 22, 2001), Mexico (June 22, 1996 to July 8, 1996), and Philippines (Feb 08, 1989 to March 1, 1989).

Summary of the November 2012 Visa Bulletin – Employment-Based (EB)

Below is a summary of the November 2012 Visa Bulletin with respect to employment-based petitions:

•    EB1 remains current and available across the board. 

•    Wonderful news for many EB2 applicants. Visas are now current for all areas of chargeability including Mexico and the Philippines. Unfortunately, no movement too place for India which remains at September 1, 2004. There is forward movement for China from July 15, 2007 to September 1, 2007.

•    Forward movement for all areas of chargeability for EB3. China moved from February 8, 2006 to April 15, 2006. India moved from October 15, 2002 to October 22, 2002. Mexico from October 22, 2006 to November 22, 2006. The Philippines from August 1, 2006 to just August 8, 2006.

•   The “Other Worker” category shows little forward movement. China moved to July 1, 2003. India moved forward to October 22, 2002. Mexico moved forward to November 22, 2006. The Philippines barely moved from August 1, 2006 to August 8, 2006. All other areas of chargeability moved to November 22, 2006.

•   Certain Religious Workers and EB5 preferences are current for all areas of chargeability.
