Delay in I-130 Processing by the California and Texas Service Centers

On February 8, USCIS posted a notification regarding the delay in processing approximately 36,000 immediate relative petitions that were transferred from the California Service Center to the Texas Service Center. In that notification, USCIS advised that some cases were transferred back to our California Service Center to take advantage of currently available resources. The following update is provided as of February 22, 2011 by the USCIS, and reflects the number of cases in this group that have been processed to date by the Texas Service Center and the California Service Center.  Approved Denied Request for Evidence/Intent to Deny Referred to District Office for Interview 18,572 165 6779 4023 USCIS encourages petitioners and/or beneficiaries to continue monitoring the progress of their cases by accessing My Case Status online. Others will have little movement. 3rd: Retrogression for Mexico (from 22NOV92 to 01NOV92) and forward movement for the Philippines (from 22OCT91 to 08DEC91) but no movement for other areas.  4th: No movement except for Mexico (from 01JAN96 to 22JAN96).  Family
