Summary of the March 2013 Visa Bulletin – Family-Based (EB)



  • F1 continues to move forward. F1 for all chargeability areas including China and India all move forward by four (4) weeks to February 15, 2006. F1 Mexico moves forward by only one (1) week to July 22, 1993 and F1 Philippines moves forward by over seven (7) months to October 15, 1998.
  • F2A moves forward by one (1) month to November 22, 2010 for all chargeability areas including, China, India, and Philippines. F2A Mexico has five (5) weeks leap to November 15, 2010.
  • Great forward movement for F2B chargeability areas including China and India which move forward by six (6) weeks to March 1, 2005. F2B Mexico moves forward by four (4) weeks to January 15, 1993 while F2B Philippines moves forward by three (3) weeks to June 8, 2002.
  • F4 shows slight forward movement for all chargeability areas including China and India from 15 April 2001 to 22 April 2001, two weeks jump for Mexico (01 Aug 1996), and a significant movement for the Philippines (01 Jun 1989 to 15 July 1989).

Summary of the March 2013 Visa Bulletin – Employment-Based (EB)



  • EB1 remains current across all chargeability areas including China, India, Mexico, and Philippines.
  • EB2 are all current now for all chargeability areas including Mexico and Philippines. EB2 India remains unchanged, again, at (the severely retrogressed) September 1, 2004. EB2 China moves forward by four (4) weeks to February 15, 2008.
  • EB3 for all chargeability areas and EB3 Mexico move forward by six (6) weeks to May 1, 2007. EB3 Philippines moves forward by only one (1) week to September 1, 2006, EB3 China moves forward by nine (9) weeks to January 22, 2007, while EB3 India moves forward by only one (1) week to November 22, 2002.
  • The “other worker” category moves forward by six (6) weeks for all chargeability areas and Mexico to May 1, 2007. It moves forward by one (1) week to September 1, 2006 for Philippines and remains unchanged (again) at July 1, 2003 for China. It moves forward by one (1) week for India to November 22, 2002.
  • EB4 and EB5 categories remain current and available for all chargeability areas including China, India, Mexico, and Philippines.
  • Certain Religious Workers remain current for all areas of chargeability.
