ICE announces launch of Online Detainee Locator System ICE announces launch of Online Detainee Locator System WASHINGTON - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today the launch of ICE's Online Detainee Locator System (ODLS), a public, Internet-based tool designed to assist family members, attorneys and other interested parties in locating detained aliens in ICE custody. The creation and implementation of the ODLS is a concrete example of ICE's commitment to detention reform. The ODLS is located on ICE's public website, http://www.ice.gov , and provides users with information on the location of the detention facility where a particular individual is being held, a phone number to the facility and contact information for the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations office in the region where the facility is located. A brochure explaining how to use the ODLS is also available on the website in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Vietna...

The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy’s Board of Directors reaffirmed its decision to suspend NPTE Exams for certain Overseas Program

According to the FSBPT website , "The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy’s Board of Directors has reaffirmed its prior decision to suspend NPTE testing for candidates educated in Egypt, India, Pakistan and the Philippines until the NPTE-YRLY can be developed. The Board has directed staff to develop the NPTE-YRLY examination as quickly as possible, but we project that it will still not be available until the latter part of 2011. We have not determined test locations yet."

FSBPT Suspends NPTE Examination for Graduates of Overseas Programs

In a stunning development, the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) today announced that it immediately has suspended National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) testing for all graduates of schools located in Egypt, India, Pakistan and the Philippines . India and the Philippines are, by far, the two largest suppliers of foreign-trained Physical Therapists. US Department of Labor launches online registry of H-2A jobs

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Labor today launched an online registry allowing the public to retrieve information about temporary agricultural jobs that fall under the H-2A program. The new tool was developed in compliance with regulations implemented by the department on March 15.

DOJ Sues Arizona over S.B. 1070 Immigration Law

The Justice Department filed suit Tuesday against Arizona, charging that the state's new immigration law is unconstitutional and requesting a preliminary injunction to stop the legislation from taking effect.

New Schedule of Consular Fees to Take Effect on July 13, 2010

On June 28, 2010, the U.S. Department of State published its Schedule of Fees for Consular Services in the Federal Register. The schedule includes fees for passports, immigrant visas and other consular services. The changes will take effect on July 13, 2010, 15 days after publication in the Federal Register. The revised fees will cover actual operating expenses for the 301 overseas consular posts, 23 domestic passport agencies and other centers that provide these consular services to U.S. and foreign citizens.
